Sound of images

I like watching rock band documentaries. Usually it starts with the place where the band grew up. They show nostalgic imagery of parts of the town or city where the band played their first gig. Accompanying this imagery is bits and pieces of music that are meant to evoke nostalgia, a raw taste of the band. It might be anything from a guitar riff to a slice from a fast number. The point is, this short piece of music is carefully handpicked from the band’s entire catalogue of songs. It reminds me of how some of the music streaming apps pick the accented colors from the album’s artwork and use them as color for the background. My point is, I love listening to these short clips of music. There’s something magical about them that makes it as exciting as listening to the actual track.

He got the joke!

I watched an amazing documentary about rock climbing called Free Solo yesterday. After I got back home, I made a joke about the movie on Twitter. I saw that someone liked my Tweet today. It was my first like ever. Turns out, the person who liked my tweet was involved in making the movie. Too bad my Twitter, like this blog, is anonymous.
